About the Author
Judy Howard is a registered nurse, midwife and health visitor who has been a member of the Edward Bach Centre team since 1985. She is a Trustee and Custodian of the Bach Centre, running the Centre's educational wing. Her other books include Bach Flower Remedies for Women and Growing Up with the Bach Flower Remedies.

Parenting advice is not wanted

Reading the chapter on baby sleep and I'm so disappointed that she is giving commentary that indicates picking up a baby who needs only its parents attention during the night is the wrong thing to do. I want remedy advice. Not faulty assumptions that a baby needing comfort at night just wants attention and doesn't truly need comfort. Biologically and scientifically it's been shown that what she's suggesting especially in young babies has long term consequences. Makes me question all her remedy suggestions as possibly based on parenting ideals that aren't scientifically sound.

Is Bach helping?

This book describes almost every possible behavior a child/adolescent could have. That is also the main reason not to give more than 3 stars. Sometimes the book gives "to much info" and is it difficult to make a difference of what is important and what is not important to you (who is reading the book for a reason). Overall good info, but it would be a good thing when the writer would organize the info in a more systematic way.
